Now here’s a couple that totally let their personality and interests shine at their wedding. Bright, bold and locally grown flowers were the stars of their wedding flowers. The deck at the Bissell Tree House in Grand Rapids was the location for their ceremony. On the birch chuppah they constructed, we added some simple bright sunflowers and long trailing vines to set the stage for their vows.
Ada carried a loosely designed, cascading bouquet with lots of depth and dimension. Flowers included a rich array of flowers including poppies, sweet peas, ranunculus, feverfew, yarrow, carnations, clematis, delphinium, anemone, spray roses and balloon flower, most of which I grew or were grown right here in West Michigan. WOW!!
The centerpieces were just the perfect look for a wooded setting. We used an eclectic assortment of vintage vases with a mixture of different spring flowers in each. The vases set on rustic wood slabs and were finished off by vines encircling them all.
The finishing touch was the cake. Colorful blooms set between the layers while their gold t-rex bride and groom were used for the top.
